My Week in PUGs
That is pretty much all I did last week.
Lots and Lots of them. On lots and lots of different characters... And now a story about the new 5-mans... I was curious about them. So I figured the safest route was Ency (plate + no mana issues makes for good times)... I pugged the first one, Forge of Souls, on Normal mode. Everything went fine and we stopped. Scea got into another Normal run Saturday Night. We actually ran all 3 so I got to see the whole thing. Very cool storyline and a really nice new staff. Yesterday, Scea got her random dungeon: Halls of Reflection. We almost completed it with one wipe but ended up having something go wrong during the chase each time. So we bailed. Scea got in another que ran the the somewhat easier Utgarde Keep instead. On Melvyl, I have mostly been doing Retribution but that isn't really my thing. So now and then I have tried Heroics. The best one: Utgarde Keep - I had a tank who ran the whole thing without stopping for anything and I kept up all the way. It was pretty darn perfect. So, last night, I needed one more emblem to get the Shield I have wanted for ages and have all lvl200 gear. So I que and get: Forge of Souls. I couldn't believe it. I didn't think I had the gear for it, but the DF obviously thought otherwise. I ran it and we wiped once - totally my fault as I got caught behind a stupid column but I know what happened and I won't do that again. And the best part? Seethe So now my long-undergeared Paladin has the best weapon of my three 80s. Simply Amazing. |

RE: My Week in PUGs
SOME day we'll be high enough to try these out. ^_^
I don't think we'll be much for PUGs, but we'll see... -Naco |

RE: My Week in PUGs
When I have enough guildies to run with, I will be quite happy to never PUG again.
![]() But you can actually try it out right now if you haven't - it works for any character level 15 or above. I have healed with my Druid and Shaman and dpsed with my Mage. |

RE: My Week in PUGs
Perfect Example of a Bad Pug
Melvyl - Halls of Lightning Normal - 3 Death Knights - 2 of them tried to tank - None of them had a clue After multiple wipes, we gave up on Ionar (4th boss in). A Good Pug Encyclopedia - Gundrak Heroic - Warrior Tank - Hunter and a Rogue were the other DPS Got the Less-Rabi achievement (A boss called Moorabi - he keeps trying to transform into a giant Mammoth - the achievement is to get him down before he does) and pretty much destroyed every boss in there |

Perfect Example of a Bad Pug Melvyl - Halls of Lightning Normal - 3 Death Knights - 2 of them tried to tank - None of them had a clue Haha, I think I've been in that one too. My RLFG pugs on Aerie Peak have been mostly okay, ditto Bronzebeard and Steamwheedle Cartel, but Farstriders!!! Gah. My lvl 69 Tauren DK did UK like 8 times before finally finishing it. The penultimate time she did get a honking weapon for when she hits 70 (two more bubbles) I need to get Roszmairta into some pugs but I haven't quite got the courage to go as tank or heal (both of which I have gear for) so I would end up doing things as a kitty in bear gear. *sigh* Maybe when our raft of almost 58 guildies get up a little we can do some mid-60s runs together so I can fail or succeed in kinder company. |
