Tuesday updates 1-26

[Roszmairta]

This week Roszdhu spent a fair amount of time hanging out in trade looking for a blacksmith without success. She also discovered the Isle of Quel'Danas helping out a guildie and did some quests there. There are a couple nice enchanting recipes from their Quartermaster but I'm not sure it is worth the effort to get honored with them at this point in the game.

Rosmairta tanked the Underbog and did okay after wiping from forgetting to kite the boss who drops poison. She is still not 65 so she can't be a grand master leatherworker but she can make Borean leather kits and put some in the GB.

Roszrig tanked Mauradon purple this week. His gear is getting much better, esp. since he sweet talked Roszdhu into buying him the Blackskull Shield from the AH. It is a very gnarly looking shield not unlike the ones carried by the orcs in Ramps. For level 40-50 it is the BiS tanking shield.

Holirosz tanked SM graveyard a couple of times. She hit 30 which doesn't seem as big a deal since you get mounted at 20 these days.

Roszinha did a mostly guild run of Shadowfang Keep which was a blast. She also pugged Razerfen Kraul.

I'm not sure what else I did since the armory is down. *sigh*

[Melvyl]

This week things focused pretty much on Melvyl and Aacr.

Back in May, I dropped Mel dropped Mining for Jewelcrafting in order to get the double crafting profession benefit. That is the main reason that Ency took up mining. The only problem was the cost of leveling both of them. I would start and run out of gold and put it off again for a while and then start and run out of gold...

Finally, this week Melvyl achieved his goal. He is now 400+ in both (which I think means he can make any of the enchanting rods). If you check on the armory, you can see his 3 dragon eye +int gems in place.

Next up for him: A pair of lvl245 sunforged bracers, the best available available outside of ICC - they are going on the AH for around 2400G these days, which is a lot but I am in the mood to splurge. And the Argent Charger, the 100 Seal Paladin Mount - I should have enough by then end of the week.

Aacr - went from lvl38 to lvl42 this weekend. I spent some time looking through both the AH and craftable recipes and Mel and Scea made some her nice things that just may last her all the way to Outland. She graduated from SM/RFD/Uldaman up to Maraudon. It took a 3 tries to get a group that could make it through the Orange portion - it doesn't lend itself well to people who don't pay attention.

Oh, and Ency is almost a Crusader, something that I hadn't expected to do at one point. I seem to have finally gotten the hang of solo jousting and anticipating the lag issues. She just needs to finish all the rep grinds.

Cool! Let's group together. Rig has tanked orange Maraudon three times and the purple once. We could random. :-) Orange is pretty buggy though.

I have been trying to get her through one random a day so she is up to lvl43 now. Either it was bad luck or the pugs have improved because while it is still a tricky instance, we haven't had any more wipes.

Quick Addendum Story: Last night, Aerie Peak went down and I had a few minutes to kill. So I logged into Adversaria, my lvl59 DK over on Earthen Ring. I respecced her to the same Unholy rotation that Ency uses for simplicity sake. Then I hit the random button.

It took a few minutes but we got Ramps ... with only the dragon boss up. It took longer to run up there than it did to kill him. And the prize was a set of gloves that had worse stats than the DK ones she was wearing. But at least she got one done. Next up: getting her some actual glyphs, because I hadn't taken had the gold/interest in doing so before.

Well, hopefully I'll be ingame some this weekend. I'm at the She's Geeky unconference this weekend so I'm not in WoW as much I would normally be *sob*

One of my DKs is running ramps again and again trying for the tanking boots. No luck so far but she went from 59-61 in four Ramps runs. :-)
