PUGs
This weekend was "productive" for us- Qyandri hit 80 (yay!) and Naco hit 77 (flight, how I missed you!).
We tried our first PUGs (along with Kardexia) this weekend as well. It was mostly ok. Naco was Healer, Kard & Qyandri went DPS. We did Violet Hold a bunch of times. At 76, it was a ton of XP for me. One tank stopped towards the end of Gundrak sat around awhile, and then promptly quit because he said he had to go raid. One tank stopped in either Gundrak or another place and then left the party, no word given. We were doing pretty well, though, and finished fine with the replacement tank. Another DK tank told us he wasn't a very good tank, and I did end up dying when I got mobbed. (I think this one was Halls of Lightning). I had to release, and when I came back a bunch of mobs had respawned. The tank told me to bubble myself and run through the room between us. We were hesitant, but tried it- and I got slaughtered again, bubbled, guardianed, etc. The 5th member called us a bunch of idiots and quit. That wasn't fun. We did end up leaving though, because the tank, true to his word, couldn't hold aggro. I died I think four times (twice in that above mentioned one, and once to fish, which K&Q will not let me live down), and Kard, Qyandri and I died at the end of Halls of Lightning towards the end of the last boss battle (so the tank and other DPSer lived and we got through). We didn't know about the lightning aura mechanic, though, so we'll see how it goes next time. People rarely seem to want to wait for us to drink to get our mana back. Qyandri and I definitely need better gear (and Q particularly as a new 80). I've got a few things to work on, and I'll start another thread with priest-y questions. |

RE: PUGs
Yay for 80! I hate those fish in DtK! And nobody wants to fight their way through those useless mobs on the spiral so you don't have to go into the water. *grin*

RE: PUGs
I did the daily Heroic on Scea once and realized I had left with picking up the turn-in. So I had to go back in and make it across the fish. It took like two tries but I finally made it with a combination of heals, bubble, and levitate.
Recently, I figured out that once the gates get unlocked you can skip that whole section.
