So, Saturday we did the weekly, and three bosses of Uldar.
Sunday, we did the first couple of ICC 10 bosses. ^^ More later.

Whoo, summer is almost over. Not that it makes much difference to a corporate worker like me, except that our interns will be leaving for school.

This weekend Arathi Basin was the Call to Arms, so...

Roszvela went from lvl 27 to lvl 30 in a flurry of PVP achievements.

Neftirosz went from lvl 20 to almost 22 via the same method. She also became a journeyman in Alchemy & First Aid. Roszdhu bought her the heirloom Exceptional Stormshroud Shoulders. Also, I decided to race change her from Gnome to Dwarf. I think stoneform and find treasure are for me. Also just really <3 Dwarves.

Lukrosz went from lvl 58 to lvl 60 (no achieves though he is a PVP vet). He got flight and his gryphon and his first piece of PVP armor, Marshal's Chain Legguards.

Roszinha mostly just worked on her mining in Azeroth because being in Outlands and unable to mine is driving her crazy. She is also now an Artisan in First Aid.

Roszrig ran a couple of jewelcrafting dailies but otherwise not much.

Roszdhu achieved her first exalted reputation with Wyrmrest Accord during a Culling of Strathholme run with guildies. She is now sporting an Ebon Blade tabard. For her tanking set she got the badge trinket, Glyph of Indomitability. For her PVP set she got Titan-Forged Girdle of Triumph.

Roszrig is lvl 72 and still hasn't queued in LFD again. *sigh* He did run Steamvaults with Kard & Qy on their rep run which was great. He got exp as well as rep. He is mostly doing jewelcrafting dailies.

Roszdhu ran UK with guildies and some of AN but it was buggy and we died on Anub. I need to run more daily heroics on her for badges to get better gear, but I can't queue as a tank for lack of stam. So it is way more fun to play a hunter and just ignore the tanking angst.

As often happens when tanking feels toxic, I am playing my hunters. Roszinha is 63 and running alot of Ramps (hoping for Scale Leggings of the Skirmisher to drop). I got Roszvela to 28 and Dhu bought her a Prized Beastmaster's Mantle to help her level. Luk is still languishing at 58 since he and Zinha are so close.

Here we are again, server down and a chance to look back at the week.

I got Roszrig (Draenei warrior) to lvl 71 on Friday so he could participate in Strand of the Ancients, this weekend's Call to Arms. He is now about 71-1/4 since we mostly lost. I played it on several other toons in different battlegroups and AP is in the middle between Bronzebeard (where people had no bloody idea what they were doing) and Proudmore (where Alliance got both speed and lockout achieves).

I also queued him up for a dungeon as tank. We got UK of course and the first healer I got didn't heal me during fights only afterward. *facepalm* Luckily he dropped group. The next healer was at least 5 levels above me (skull rather than number) and kept pulling aggro. I taunted things back but my only multi-mob taunt has a 3 min cooldown. I was having to taunt each individual. We wiped on the large group before Prince Keleseth, everyone abused me for being a bad tank and dropped. I know I have to put myself into PUGs but I really hate pugging as a tank.

Roszdhu and Naco, Qyandri, Encyclopedia, Allora and Kardexia rocked Karazhan on Sunday afternoon. As I expected the Chess event was the hard one... but mostly because by then we were down to five people and so could only control half the pieces. It too us three tries but we did it!!! She has the key and would be happy to go again if other folks are interested. Or if someone else gets the key, there was an awful lot of epic lvl 70 tanking plate that dropped... Roszrig would love to have epics. Also, I posted something in our raiding forum about doing other lvl 70 raids. Lets doooo eeeeet!

Roszdhu got mongoose and a couple other enchants that drop there. *happy dance* Her original motivation to get the Kara key was having the mongoose enchant. Thanks guildies, you rock.

Tactics for lvl 70 dungons

Had a great time with Karazhan... and we mostly found we could faceroll through it without tactics. So I was interested to see this blog post on doing 70 raids at 80. I would love to hit most of this content and work on my raider achieves. Anyone else?

Just like last week - it was all about Searsi.

Searsi got Northrend Dungeonmaster doing Oculus (getting Make It Count and a couple of other achievements at the same time).

She now has a full set of T9, a Seethe, a Nevermelting Ice Crystal, and a bit more 219 and pvp gear. On the professions front, she now has enchanting up to 428 and inscription to 403.

She has also been asking as my bank alt which is kind of fun for an 80 to do but then the AH is never far away for a mage.

In other news...

Melvyl and Aacr helped Roszdhu complete her quest for a Karazahn key.

I was bored with Adversaria as DW Frost so I respecced her into the current hot Blood spec. I will see how that goes.

Karazhan is a level 70 ten-man raid instance in Deadwind Pass. It requires that one member of the party have The Master's Key, which Roszdhu now possesses with the help of many guildies, but esp. Melvyl, on a long quest chain through Shadow Labyrinth, Steam Vaults, Arcatraz and Black Morass!

Karazhan is huge, scripted, and non-winged, containing twelve boss encounters, with 22 different NPCs.

I have only done it once, almost a year ago... and that was on the occasion of a drinking game with a large group of 80s many of whom had done it back in the day many times. So I don't feel particularly qualified to raid lead. Esp the Chess Event which seemed bloody complicated!

Talking last night we talked about going in this Sunday at 1pm, but I think I am going to have to push it out to Sunday, August 15 because of a memorial service this weekend. And that will give us more time to read strats!

As far as I am concerned this is open to all guildies over 70 although it is only a 10-man so I imagine we need something along the lines of 2 tanks, 2-3 healers, 5-6 dps? If it is fun and there is interest... we can always do it again!

My husband was out of town last week so I played waaay too much WoW. LOL

Roszinha & Lukrosz both spent the weekend in AV which was the Call to Arms. Zinha got from lvl 52-60 and Luk from 51-58. I am still trying to decide what to do with them. They were one of my RAF pairs, so Luk is on my second account. I need to move him to my main account since the 2nd one is vanilla only. One or the other of them will probably hop servers because, really, do I need 3 hunters on AP?

Speaking of moving servers, Roszmairta finally jumped ship to Bronzebeard. Roszfianna is in a much better position to buy her cold weather flying and at lvl 66 she'll be needing it soon. Dhu is broke after buying it for Roszrig.

Roszrig hit level 70 on Thursday and is totally broke after the level 70 training, the grand master cooking, jewelcrafting and first aid training. He went along with a Kardexia to a Temple of Ahn'Qiraj run which was a blast. He got a green bug mount.

Roszdhu has decided she needs the key to Karazhan so she can run it for the mongoose enchant. Today at lunch, with Smarty's aid, she ran Sethekk Halls to get the Shadow Labyrinth key. Tonight she will probably try to rope people into helping with SL... a DK is way worse for soloing BC content than a hunter is. WTB feign death or healing. It was 14g in repairs from dying twice in SH before Smarty came along.

No downtime this week, but some of us can't play today anyway because we are busy.

Melvyl - got Northrend Dungeonmaster this week nearly 18 months into lvl80 after finally killing the optional bosses in OK. I had begun to think that was never going to happen.

Adversaria - got Northrend Dungeonmaster this week after 3 weeks at lvl80 after finally killing Salramm the Fleshcrafter in CoS. I had no idea she was even close.

Searsi - should hit 76 in the next day or two. She has reached 350 in Enchanting and is hard work on Inscription. Oh, and she has epic flight now.

Aacr - is still playing at being a cat. Not sure how that is going to work out.

Naco, Qyandri, Kardexia, Buckram, and Kidra did Forge of Souls and Pit of Saron on heroic last night, and Halls of Reflection on normal (we didn't attempt heroic). The hardest part ended up being the tunnel in the Pit of Saron, where we died a couple of times before figuring out a solid strategy- the Forgemaster was actually not hard at all with this group for some reason. Anyway, we're getting better. ^_^ Q and Kard have gotten some decent equipment, and the rest of us are progressing. ^_^

I've read that they took out the "guild talents" that they had been planning on, which isn't as disappointing to me as the removal of the Path of the Titans stuff. I think guild talents, the way they were going to be implemented, would have really made guild hopping an issue, completely defeating the purpose.

Okay! This week (when not overwhelmed by RL) I have mostly been working on Roszrig although I haven't actually tanked anything. I saw all the jewelcrafting recipes that the Consortium Quartermaster has and so he is running about killing wild elekks to get his rep and level up so he can get to Netherstorm and work for Consortium for awhile. He is level 65, currently at 323 jc and 345 mining.

Roszdhu continued to run WG and random BGs with the occasional call in to tank or dps with guildies. She got a nice dps polearm in Violet Hold last night.

And totally unrelated to my toons, may I commend your attention to Larisa's post at Pink Pigtail Inn about her guild's anniversary party scavenger hunt. Sounds like a blast!

No excuse not to come and do an update tomorrow!
